To promote the visibility of Porto’s excellent architecture, Building Pictures, together with the architects Filipa Figueira and Tiago Vieira, created a project called “Arquitectura à Moda do Porto” (Porto-style architecture). Between 2013 and 2014, they shot 10 episodes of key architecture pieces of Porto from the past 20 years. These episodes can be watched on Archdaily and on 130 posts from Porto e Norte de Portugal (Portuguese north region tourism organism).

In 2014, Building Pictures invited architects, architecture students, landscape architects, anthropologists, artists, and other creatives to document portuguese architecture with films that shared their perceptions and experiences in inspiring places, marked by memories of their everyday lives... the favorite places from each participant. As a result, 31 videos were submitted, of which 24 were selected to integrate the experimental documentary of portuguese arquitecture named “Qual é o teu Espaço Favorito?” (What is your favorite place?). This documentary was considered one of the 30 architecture documentaries to see in 2015 by Archdaily.

Her short films are often selected to exhibit in cinema festivals, cinema series, and architecture exhibitions, such as: Encontros da Imagem 2015 (Series: Arquitectura à Moda do Porto), Arquitecturas Film Festival (Documentary: Qual é o teu Espaço Favorito? – 2014), La Biennale di Venezia 2016 (Short film: Gomos System), 3rd Istanbul Design Biennale 2016 (Short film: Abrantes Municipal Market) Architecture Player: Public Sessions – Italy 2016 (Short film: Gomos System) In\ Visible Cities - Urban Multimedia Festival 2015 (Short film: Metamorfose - FAHR 021.3). Her work is also often picked up by national and international publications, such as Archdaily, Dezeen, Arquitectura Viva, among many others.

In 2016, Building Pictures’ Youtube channel was considered one of 13 architecture channels in Portuguese that you need to know by Archdaily.

In 2018, her short film “Albergues Noturnos do Porto”, about Porto’s shelters for the homeless, was among the 5 finalists of the spanish prize: Simon Architecture Prize.

Building Pictures is currently making its first feature film about one of the greatest architecture photographers: Fernando Guerra. The film will debut in 2019 at the São Jorge cinema in Lisbon.

The team is also working on a documentary about one of the most important portuguese architect: Siza Vieira.
